Death Valley defines desert and yet it has much to offer. Standing on the salt lake bed at 200 feet below sea level is impressive as are the many colorful formations around the park.

Glacier
Glacier is one of my favorite national parks. There are so many waterfalls, lakes and streams to photograph. But, Glacier is also home to many easily spotted wildlife icons such as bears, moose and mountain goats that provide great subjects as well.

The Great Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway are full of color in the Spring and Fall seasons. There also are many old mills and cabins that make excellent subjects as well.

Arizona is hard to beat for just scenic grandeur, with the Grand Canyon as its showpiece. The canyon's personality changes throughout the day and it challenges the best of photographers.

Yellowstone and Grand Tetons
Yellowstone is the oldest National Park and one with the most diversity of terrain. Everywhere you look you see steam rising from the ground from geysers to boiling mud pots. Buffalo (American Bison) herds roam freely along with many other interesting wildlife.

Yosemite and Sequioa
Yosemite is still my favorite National Park as I have been visiting the park for more than 60 years. There is no place on earth to rival the majesty of Yosemite Valley and it certainly is one of the most photographed places in the world.
